1982  Kosuke Kitajima is born in Tokyo.
1987  He begins swimming at the age of five.
2000  In his last year of high school, Kitajima makes his Olympic debut at the Sydney Olympics.
2004  Kitajima earns two gold medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter at the Athens Olympics.
2007  Kitajima receives a gold medal at the World Championships, and goes on to win first place in the 200-meter while retaining his 8th consecutive championship in the 100-meter at the Japanese Championships.
2008  The Beijing Olympics will be held. Kitajima hopes to become the first to receive consecutive gold medals in competitive swimming.
Kitajima currently has a contract with Coca-Cola Japan.

Profile
Miho Takeda was born in 1976 in Kyoto. She began swimming at age five and began synchronized swimming lessons at the age of seven. When she was thirteen, she represented Japan in a junior competition.
Takeda earned five medals in the three Olympic Games at Atlanta, Sidney and Athens.
Since retiring in 2004, she has been active in a variety of interests. Recent accomplishments include teaching synchronized aerobics and performing in a musical.
