| Computer simulation is used to create three-dimensional representations of humans to improve clothing for golfers and runners. Mizuno applies this “virtual body design” technology to swimwear as well. Analyzing the expansion and contraction of swimmers’ skin as well as other facets of swimming in three dimensions, Mizuno is developing the ideal swimwear for better swimming. |

| We record real-life swimming and analyze the movements by computer. |
A 3D model is generated based on the computer analysis of the video. |
The 3D model is used for data analysis. For example, the degree and direction that skin stretches or contracts when a swimmer moves is studied. |
Finally, we perfect the swimwear pattern. This includes using a three-dimensional cut with a rounded seam at the areas that often stretch and removing excess fabric at the areas that often contract. |

Speed and form for all swimmers. Mizuno’s triple-weave, water-repellent material minimizes the resistance from not only head-on currents but cross-currents as well.
Our swimwear is designed to deal with eddies in the water caused by twisting and vertical movement during swimming. The triple weave pattern also handles cross currents. Water resistance is thus dramatically reduced by this design, which takes into account currents from three directions. |
The low-resistance, water-repellent fabric is configured so that 85% of the covered area is water-repellent. This makes swimmers feel light in the water. |
Chlorine can cause deterioration in swimwear. Mizuno swimwear incorporates polyurethane threads to provide a high resistance to chlorine, so our swimwear is dependable and long-lasting. |

Special ceramics are provided to ensure that even light-colored swimwear is opaque. Power Line W is also effective at blocking infrared photography. |

Matting combines a deep shine with a soft texture, and provides protection against ultraviolet rays with a UPF rating of 50 or greater. |

We are spreading the word about how great swimming can feel. But we need to make sure everyone has comfortable swimwear. In our pursuit for improved comfort, we reviewed the methodology used for sizing. This resulted in the “Prime Fit” concept used in our Swim Fitness line of swimsuits. After thoroughly studying the physiques of Japanese people, we created categories for length and width, allowing a greater range of sizes. We then consulted with swimmers to devise innovations that provide an even more comfortable fit. Now you can find comfortable swimwear that fits perfectly. A good swim begins with good swimwear. Mizuno is set on creating comfortable swimwear to keep spreading the word.
Expanding the sizes available sizes usually means increasing width in proportion to height. At Mizuno, we have a new approach. Our swimwear is designed so that the width does not increase after a set height for a better fit to the Japanese physique. |

| This is great. The shoulders aren’t tight, and the length is just right. The swimsuit is also nice around my mid-section for a great fit all around. |

| The XL left me looking baggy, so I used to get a medium since I didn’t have a choice. The Prime Fit XL size is a nice fit, making me look really good. It feels good and the shoulder straps are just the right length. |

The contoured cups were developed from 3D modeling to hold the bust in place without any gaps. The advanced techniques mean the design runs along the contour of the breast and underarm, varying in thickness to provide a close fit. |

| In order to have superior swimwear, superior sewing machines are required. Each machine has its own history chart, so we can ensure it is functioning in top condition. |
| The difference between a conventional flat and the Super Flat sewing machine is only four versus five threads. But it is that extra thread that gives the additional strength and prevents fraying so our swimmers can swim without worrying about their suit. That is our additional thread of support. |
